Marshanne started her writing career back in the mid 1980’s as a television news reporter and anchor. She worked at WIS-TV in Columbia, SC for the better part of a decade and before that she had a two-year stint as a writer and producer for SC-ETV’s satellite branch in Beaufort, SC.

Marshanne left her career in 1993 to focus on raising her family, which consists of two boys, ages 17 and 14, and a girl age 11.

Now she's juggling being a mom to teenagers while pursuing her dream to become an author.
